I am with Filippo here. Wud needs to upgrade. However, my suggestion is to get the old "BatComputer" from the original series. That computer can do everything. As you can see in the pictures below, simply by changing the sign on the computer, and moving the components around a bit, you can do some seriously amazing things with it. Observe: Here it is simply "Batcomputer" ![]() Here, it has become a Navigational Aid computer simply by changing the sign on it and adding a "keyboard" with loads of buttons. I saw this one in use. It located all of the navigation buoys in the ocean. Amazing. ![]() In this episode, Batman needed to remotely control the Batmobile with the power of his voice. A new sign for the old BatComputer, and PRESTO!! ![]() In this picture, the sign is pretty long, but hard to read. Must be uber important stuff being done. ![]() I have it on good authority that Adam West and Burt Ward are not using it any longer, so you can probably get it pretty cheap. Plus, it comes with BatVirusProtection so you wont get a virus ever. This pic is really big, but shows various iterations of the BatComputer. Click the link to see it do other stuff like, BatFile, BatCalendar, and a bonus shot of Batman with a pink hood. |

i used to have quite a few problems and would have to do "factory resets" now and then, which entails losing everything on the computer. since i started using Avast! (free) about 4 years ago i have had zero problems...and i still visit unsavory websites. i highly reccommend it |

Microsoft Security Essentials works great for me. More importantly, I never let my kids touch my computer. |

Sure, let's all make hateful unwarranted comments about mid-westerners. It must have been a while since Filippo visited the Mid-west. We don't look anything like that in these modern times. I mean sure, our ladies still sport that hairstyle, but not a single one of us is under 300 pounds these days. |

Sheesh I feel old.... Filippo my first puter was a Timex Sinclair much like the pic below..... The thing was programed in Basic and had such poor "edge" connectors on the video adapter that when ever you tried to slide it closer to you to type on the thing the edge connectors would short and fry the computer.... It happen three times to me..... ![]() Next was the much more common VIC 20 that led to the Commodore 64. The college that I was going to had long lines to the "terminal lab..." so I bought a VIC 20 to simply use as an terminal and got together with a very pretty EE student who made an early modem and I wrote the terminal and modem software. It worked and worked well although inputting COBOL code on a screen only 40 characters across was pretty dicey..... It worked so well that my friend and I started selling a full package for $350 including the computer, terminal/modem software (on a cassette.... remember those.... ![]() It all went well until the school figured out that their lousy firewall was no match for we deviants who had hacked into the student records database and of course then graduated with a 4.0..... I think that they graduated us so that we would be someone else's problem.... At the U of Michigan there are working parts of Eniac that many of us had to pull shifts getting it to work again. I was not an EE and they did most of the work but I was a cable puller/placer because it was programmed just like an old fashioned phone switchboard with thousands of cables..... I had an Osborne too which was a lot of fun and you could save massive amounts of data, what was it 56K..... on a huge floppy..... ![]() Today a calculator has more power..... and uses far less power. Personally I think that Batman and Robin were computer pioneers too! By the way what is this thread about? ![]() ![]() |

I want to say that I fondly miss my old Timex Sinclair, but that would not be entirely accurate. |
